Hi, I'm Susan.

I'm a mom, wife, autism advocate and author. For 19 long months, I was also a "warden" for my 33 year old autistic son as he was under house arrest. That journey is one I've chronicled in my newsletter, Life On The Inside, and it's what has spurred me to launch LAWTISM: Autism. The Law. And What Parents Need to Know. If you scroll through my past posts here on Medium, you'll find I also write a lot of humor. It's how I approach life, particularly these past almost two years. But, my focus these days is on arming other parents with the knowledge they will need, should they ever find their child caught up in the web of the criminal justice system. It's knowledge all parents can use.
